October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and many local businesses are going pink to show their support. One in eight women will develop breast cancer and while often less talked about, men are also susceptible to the disease. With so many people touched by the disease, here are 5 local businesses to visit during October that will donate profits and items to foundations for breast cancer patients, survivors, and families.

San Antonio might not be known as the art capital of the country, or even Texas, but I think we deserve some serious credit. With a vibrant culture that is a unique blend of SA’s people, past, and future, we have a vibe that’s all our own. While I’m a fan of visiting art museums, there’s nothing like discovering a brightly-colored mural in the midst of pavement and cityscapes on a gloomy day. Authorities: Man lands aircraft at Central Texas airport with 230 lbs. of marijuana

AUSTIN - A 64-year-old man has been charged this afternoon after landing his plane in Llano, Texas, with approximately 230 lbs. of marijuana on board, authorities said.

 

Federal authorities filed a criminal complaint against Wayne Douglas Brunet for possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

The new health campaign targets diabetes and obesity, which officials said are the city’s biggest health threats.
